This 1989 classic with leads Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington, and Morgan Freeman enbark on a story about the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. In a grueling fight for freedom, sacrifice, and determination to stand alongside Union soldiers as equals, the men of the 54th Massachusetts achieve their moment of Glory by becoming the first African-American unit for the United States and seeing action at Fort Wagner. It is a heartfelt film about bravery and the pursuit to fight for a cause and one's own beliefs in themselves.

4. The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2022)

With familiar and lovable characters and a large cast of recognizable names, The Super Mario Bros is a film to be enjoyed by any and all fans who want a simple and fun story with some of Nintendo's iconic characters!

Detective Pikachu (2019)

The film answers the age old question of life with Pokemon and the vast cultural shift within the big city, giving audiences of dreaming and living out a reality where their favorite pocket monsters may one day stand next to them.

2. Godzilla Minus One (2023)
Toho returns with their rendition of the classic kaiju beast Godzilla. Unlike Legendary's Godzilla film series starting in 2014, Toho briefly showcases one of their best films to date. Set after the end of World War II, Koichi Shikishima must learn to move on and love himself from the guilt bestowed upon him after failing to carry out his mission as a suicide bomber and failing to take action in saving the ground crew upon first witnessing a young Godzilla. This film is unlike any Godzilla film out there and rivals the emotional reaction of audiences when the first Godzilla film released in 1954 during the wake of the reconstruction of Japan post atomic bombs. Godzilla Minus One is a definite must watch and absolutely recommended for anyone who wants an emotional pull within any story.

1. A Silent Voice (2016)

Each learn to eventually rely on each other as they struggle to love themselves and properly communicate their feelings whilst facing constant reminders of their hatred for their past. A very emotional film all about learning to love oneself.
